報(bào)告分享 | 半導(dǎo)體激光光源和光學(xué)整形的協(xié)同發(fā)展

2020年6月24日,炬光科技董事長兼CEO劉興勝博士受邀在EPIC(歐洲光電產(chǎn)業(yè)協(xié)會(huì))舉辦的24小時(shí)環(huán)球直播中發(fā)表題為《推動(dòng)高功率半導(dǎo)體激光器的應(yīng)用和增長:半導(dǎo)體激光光源和光學(xué)整形的協(xié)同發(fā)展》的演講。 與固體激光器、光纖激光器和氣體激光器等其他類型的激光器相比,高功率半導(dǎo)體激光器在效率、可靠性、成本、尺寸等各方面都具有優(yōu)勢。所有可以應(yīng)用半導(dǎo)體激光器的場景,一定會(huì)使用半導(dǎo)體激光器。 然而,無論EEL(邊發(fā)射激光器),還是VCSEL(垂直腔面發(fā)射激光器),激光光束質(zhì)量都較差。尤其是EEL的光束質(zhì)量在快慢軸極端不對稱:快軸方向BPP(Beam Parameter Product)良好,慢軸方向BPP很大。因此,半導(dǎo)體激光器光束質(zhì)量差的特性決定了它目前不是主流應(yīng)用的選擇。 但劉興勝博士認(rèn)為,并非所有實(shí)際應(yīng)用都需要高光束質(zhì)量的激光,只要滿足應(yīng)用對能量密度、光束形狀和能量分布的要求即可。高光束質(zhì)量的激光當(dāng)然比較容易滿足以上三個(gè)要素,但通過微光學(xué)透鏡對激光進(jìn)行整形,使光子在合適的時(shí)間出現(xiàn)在合適的位置,低光束質(zhì)量的激光便可以為我們所用。同時(shí),整形后的光斑在眾多應(yīng)用中表現(xiàn)出獨(dú)特的優(yōu)勢,如線光斑、面光斑在應(yīng)用于焊接、激光剝離和退火等領(lǐng)域時(shí)可大大提升加工效率;應(yīng)用于Flash LiDAR時(shí)可以減少運(yùn)動(dòng)部件的使用(如機(jī)械部件或MEMS),從而大幅提高系統(tǒng)可靠性。 31.jpg 炬光科技微光學(xué)透鏡能夠在零維(點(diǎn))、一維(線)、二維(面)三個(gè)維度對各類型激光器進(jìn)行光束整形。無論何種入射光源類型(VCSEL芯片、VCSEL陣列、EEL/Nanostack、DPSSL/光纖激光器),其光束形狀如何,光束質(zhì)量如何(發(fā)散角大小、是否對稱),整形后均可形成圓形、矩形、線形等各種光斑形狀,滿足激光加工需求;也可形成較大的發(fā)散角,滿足照明、3D感知等應(yīng)用需求。 \ \ 雖然光學(xué)整形不能提升激光器的整體光束質(zhì)量,但可以通過調(diào)節(jié)不同方向(快軸、慢軸)的光束質(zhì)量,滿足特定應(yīng)用對激光能量密度、光束形狀和能量分布三要素的要求,應(yīng)用于OLED柔性顯示生產(chǎn)中的激光剝離、玻璃退火、塑料焊接、半導(dǎo)體退火、金屬表面處理、鐵路軌道檢測、自動(dòng)駕駛激光雷達(dá)等領(lǐng)域。 \ 高功率半導(dǎo)體激光器與微光學(xué)光束整形技術(shù)的協(xié)同發(fā)展,拓寬了半導(dǎo)體激光器的應(yīng)用邊界,從而達(dá)到1+1>2的效果。
